Elizabeth Street

This handsome Victorian CBD town house was well overdue for restoration, both inside and out. Over several months, following negotiations with Heritage Tasmania the transformation of this tired building commenced.

The principal approach was to remove the accreted layers of 20th Century additions and modifications, taking the building back to its original features, and restoring them to their modest elegance.

Careful restoration of the remaining fabric, coupled with the introduction and insertion of contemporary interiors and colours has lead to a reinvigorated sense of spaciousness, warmth and light.

Once again this house is now a home; fit for a modern city life.
